Let me tell you about what a nesting is. When we do a design that is going to be cut by a machine, we use plywood boards. The pieces that we have to cut must be placed inside of these boards, I mean we have to create a file with the silhouettes of all pieces properly ordered. This is what we call a nesting. A good nesting is the one that it doesn’t leave so much free space between the pieces, so we waste just very little material. A good nesting is crucial to make a rentable furniture and not produce so much waste.

This table design starts for the nesting, the idea was to make a design very easy to produce, cheap and sustainable. In order to get a very good nesting you need simple fragments, if you want to get stability with simple fragments then you need to join them wisely.

I made this design a couple of years ago. Now I’m thinking that after producing the first protoype one day soon, the design is perfect to be shared on the community. As an opensource furniture, as it’s easy to produce and assemble.
