Façade System

Do you remember these tables I made out of concrete? I place a picture again:

I grew and studied architecture in the city of Alhambra. I love the latticeworks of the palace and it would be a dream for me to create something similar. Latticeworks were created by the muslims to accelerate the air speed through the windows improving the fresh of the ventilation. Giving also a set of different grades of trasparencies and shadows, something that this culture really knew how to play with.

So working with the concrete workshop I was developing a facade system. The idea was to add to the prefabricates company cathalog a system that could be applyed to any facade, like a second skin in order to protect the building from the sun, create different sets of transparencies and shadows. The system is modular, composed by three different triangular pannels. Three modules playing with triangles, same design different density of pattern.

With the time I realized that I found myself with the same enthusiastic people I am, but they had a company to maintain, with their machines and employees… Sadly I must say they couldn’t resist and had to shut down. Thanks to this workshop I took the project again and make some images to be able to show it to you. Hopefuly someday will serve for something more.

Thank you
