Why making these complicated 3D puzzles is an advantage?

It’s fun, like the feeling of a child discovering the final image when finishing a puzzle. Even more satisfaying: the child took the picture and designed the puzzle!

Being part of the assamblage of this 3D puzzle is thrilling. Putting big pieces together and figuring out how they fit perfectly. Reaching a sequence with different pieces discovering the shape they draw ensemble. Working in the workshop safe away from the risky construction works. Staying there for the shortest time possible…

I will use as example an origami ceiling we did 5 years ago. It’s the ceiling for a restaurant. We cutted by laser the puzzle, then we made the assamblage on our workshop (fablabbarcelona) obtaining modules, these modules were taken by van to the restaurant and hung in the restaurant in a couple of days.
